Yes, it does. I don't think that's really being debated.
Whether encouraged by man's interference, part of a natural cycle, or a combination of both, the Earth is in a state of warming. This is backed by decades of observational research. Nothing peer-reviewed to the contrary has come out in a few decades, I don't think.
The "debate" (used loosely) seems to be whether or not man is the cause of the warming... and, in this debate, it seems to be that 99% of peer-reviewed scientists are on one side of the fence (saying man's the cause of it), and 1% of peer reviewed scientists (who all, coincidentally, get paychecks from big oil) on the other side of the fence.
Then there's lots of gung-ho laymen who really have little clue as to anything arguing the points of the latest video they caught on youtube muddling the waters of clarity a tad.
Hopefully this recognition might wake a few of those laymen up.
