Moniker WHAT THE FUCK??????????

I have domains at at least 5 places but hey everybody says moniker is the best

so I create an account, register a domain + privacy, pay by paypal, my moniker account gets locked 3 minutes later, so they took my $29.00 happily and closed my account, ain't that lovely

Same shit happened to me. Then one of their reps tells me on ICQ it's because I opened an account without talking to someone first and then it was activated. After that crap and some weird unexplained downtime a week later they've been aight.

Moniker is very sensitive when it comes to security, I guess you triggered an alert in some way. Happened to me once over the years, sure, it sucked a bit, but I prefer tight security to the shit going on at GoDaddy...and unlocking it took like 10 minutes.

Antonio, The wall that you you ran into was our security measures clamping down on you. It doesn't mean that your account is closed, it just means that you have to give a quick call to us... You can either call Jrzygirl or myself. or hit us up on ICQ... your account has NOT been closed, just locked! Now imagine if someone else had been trying to impersonate you and had ran into those security proceedures...

I have a number of domains I was considering transfering to Moniker. Any problems would have to be fixed like right now. I can't afford down time.

It happened to me at first as well. I registered 5 domains in 2 days and then was locked. I received an e-mail at the same time telling me to call Chris. I did so. He verified my info. Explained that it is a security issue to make sure credit cards are valid, and so on.

Since then never had issue.

I understand their company's position. It's no different then some hosting companies requiring you to xerox a copy of your card and I.D..
