its the "can i ask you a question" approach that i think is all wrong and annoying. Plus its a mall, i just want to hitup some stores and have no hassles...

Permission marketing. If you say "yes", then they have permission to market to you.

It is "in your face" stuff, making you consider a product you might not otherwise have wanted.

Effectively, it is the pop-up advertising of malls.

Those sales tactics annoy the fuck out of me. That's why I shop online.

Down in South Beach there are these girls trying to lure you into a restaurant with their "specials." It's so fucking annoying that after a while I stopped saying "no thank you" and just keep walking. Well once one of those chicks took it a step further and after I ignored her she (lightly) grabbed my arm as if I didn't hear what she said. Being the dick that I am I did this thing that I actually played out in my mind a couple of times just for this situation and started acting nuts as if I was a total freak and hated when people touched me. Didn't actually yell but made her very aware that I had a huge problem with her touching me. She was so freaked out I don't think she'll do it again.

          Good times!

I hears ya...i use to live in Aventura and would hate walking down Ocean Dr or Licoln Rd because of that nonsense. if u look at the restaurants that do not use those tactics, they r the ones that are actually pretty occupied....

It's the personal touch, AKA better marketing.

they really piss me off. they don't take no for an answer . I'm always nice and hear them out for a min. but then i say no and i have to go and they follow you. I had one guy grab my arm. he saw a big change in my look and attitude and let go fast. he's going to grab the wrong arm one day and get a beating. he's lucky I'm a mellow guy.

Yep. Happens here too. I had another man rub lotion on my hands and oddly enough, I enjoyed it.

                      Spend you some brain.
