Damn right but it seems to be a kinda fashion in the rock scene. last year my band and I were doing the first part of a show with paul dianno (former & first singer of Iron Maiden) and he looks just like Axl ; washed up an rap style. But the gn'r will stay in my heart forever, whatever axl will do. GNR rules !!!!!
he had a face lift and hair transplant surgury a few yrs ago right before the time the new GNR played the MTV awards - the one jimmy fallon hosted - watch the interview after - man he looked like joan rivers.
i worked with him and hes a fucking crazy dude. money and fame fucked him up.

Yeah it looks like hes had collagen injections or something done to his face.
I ate Exctasy and snorted lines for three days with him one time in 1991
he was a great guy to party with . he would come through Vegas all the time and man did he love the strippers!

"your daddy works in porno, now that mommy's not around....she use to love her heroin but now she's underground....so you stay out late at and you do your coke for free...driving your friends crazy with your life's insanity....."
i've often wondered how a straight dude can pull of wearing white bicycle shorts with a feather jacket, no shirt, and a nazi cap and not look the slightest bit gay
The key is to marry a supermodel like Stephanie Seymour, even if it's only for a short bit, that keeps people from questioning your sexuality.

It's pretty sad that Vanilla Ice looks more hardcore than Axle Rose does nowadays
They've switched roles.
Why because Rob Vanwinkle is sporting a t-shirt and Axl is sporting a jersey? Come on....that guy still gets more pussy that Sirsucks ALOT :P
If I say I don't need anyone
I can say these things to you
'cause
I can turn on anyone
Just like I've turned on you
I've got a tongue like a razor
A sweet switchblade knife
I can do you favors
But then you'll do whatever I like
Chorus:
Here I am
And you're a Rocket Queen
I might be a little young
But Honey I ain't naive
Here I am
And you're a Rocket Queen oh yeah
I might be too much
But honey you're a bit obscene
I've seen everything imaginable
Pass before these eyes
I've had everything that's tangible
Honey you'd be surprised
I'm a sexual innuendo
In this burned out paradise
If you turn me on to anything
You better turn me on tonight
Chorus
I see you standing
Standing on your own
It's such a lonely place for you
For you to be
If you need a shoulder
Or if you need a friend
I'll be here standing
Until the bitter end
No one needs the sorrow
No one needs the pain
I hate to see you
Walking out there
Out in the rain
So don't chastise me
Or think I, I mean you harm
Of those that take you
Leave you strung out
Much too far
Baby - yeah
Don't ever leave me
Say you'll always be there
All I ever wanted
Was for you
To know that I care

I'll say that again for the ones who have no taste in music. You can say what you want about axl, his lifestyle his looks, whatever. At the end however, it's his music and the impact he had that makes a difference and Axl DID change the face of music. The guy is one of the most talented musicians to ever live and you can't deny that.

I can. They were good for the time although I wouldn't have bought an album, but they'll never be considered one of the greats. Just a big period band.

Are you retarded? They are always talked about when discussing the greatest bands ever. They're also going to be in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. They sold out arena's of 80k+.... I don't need to go into their accomplishments, if you had any sense you'd read up on them and learn more before making that statement. I despite inaccuracy..
Sorry, you must have me confused with someone ambivalent. I (with a regularity that is disturbing to many) say EXACTLY what I mean, unless I don't --
And the reason most people who contribute anything to which the word "great" might apply "age badly" is because they raise the importance of making that contribution above personal indulgence and the strict preservation of the organism. Which is not to say that great artists don't struggle with their own demons or that they don't skate (unwisely?) too near the precipice or too far down on the slipperiest part of the slope. They surely do. Where else would you think to find that which does not yet exist but on the other side of some sort of line?
Go have a case of beer, or a jog, or beat your wife, or eat a cake, or post on GFY all day. It's so stupid to pretend that addiction is anything but a universal human fact, and so, so sad that Bobby wastes his energies attacking Larry's addictions and Larry wastes his attacking Debbie's when all that does is send them all right back to the bottle, the needle, the bakery -- where they are as unlikely to find any joy as they were the last time they were there.
People suck, or so the numbers dictate. A few of them pretend it's not the case, and inspire all the rest. Frankly, I don't care how they do it in their own homes, hurting no one (perhaps not even themselves) when the result is breauty and magic.
Of all the ways in which it is possible to reach old age, I think the worst is surely with regret for the things not done. His face might look like an old catcher's mit, but I would rather scrape an inch of dried rocker vomit from a thousand concert stages if it meant I could read a single page from Keith's diary than have to ride shotgun for half an hour with an angry, unfulfilled, tee-totaling nobody who contributed only his judgement to the world.
Age badly = Age unhappy, having made nothing nor made anyone else happy.
