Sites with 100% exclusive content, how many of your members...

    ...forget to cancel?

A lot of people seem to think that if you have regular non-exclusive content that your business model is getting people in and then forgetting to cancel.

Does exclusive content change the fact that some people just plain forget to cancel?

Does it really matter? How much "voluntary" retention is there versus people who forget to cancel?

Nah. I've not run into that on my exclusive. Maybe on the celebrity.

You mean people forgetting to cancel? Are you saying that every one of your members that has recurred is doing so because they remember that their membership is recurring and not forgetting to cancel? Just trying to clarify.

With our exclusive sites, we can look at just about every guy who's been with us over 6 months, and it's amazing to look at the security logs and see these guys log in almost daily to see what we've updated.

          Hmmm, interesting...
What about the shorter term 2-3 month guys?

I'm just trying to get a broader picture

In my experience I don't get much rebills on celebrity. PPS is much better model for me in that case...

                No.

What I am saying is that on occasion I get members who cancel, and claim that they forgot they had the membership, and want a refund.

This is something I rarely see in the first place, but when I do, or they do chargebacks, it's normally on a celeb site. Not the exclusive we produce.

I think a good portion of members forget to cancel twice... Then make it a point to cancel immediately.

Yeah, I have some of those also.

They tend to get double billed on occasion because they sign up, cancel, then sign up again (for recurring). I normally catch it because I review all membership e-mails. I then get them credit immediate so I do not have 20 chargebacks or refunds later.

                      Still.. very annoying.

Yeah, it's always about risk management. Whether you have 2 pre-checked cross sells, 100% exclusive content, DVD ripped content, whatever...it's always about good old risk management....
