Its a pity peoples private sorrows have to be plastered all over GFY. Divorce can be an amazingly stressful time and in the heat of the moment things are said and done that later people regret.
This situation highlights the amazing job the Steve Lightspeed is doing keeping all those single girl sites running for such a long time. I admire his stamina and his guts.
When unavoidable issues like this occur it makes me all the more certain we will only open single girl sites if we have enough content to keep them updated for many years and that is not easy to do.

The reason I had my lawyer ask for that amount of time before the site was shut down was so affiliates could pull their links. I don't care what happens to me or the site as long as other people don't get screwed over. I have never ever agreed to have the join pages pulled in such a short amount of time. I just wouldn't do that and I didn't think that Bill would ever do that either.
Also I didn't take down my sig because I didn't know all of this would be happening today, I thought I had 30-45 days.
I give my permission to post a court order to the public. If there is one, lets see it.Comment

Ok I just finished pulling 44 different galleries through my network. As luck would also have it todays main update was Arika as well.
Somehow somewhere I seem to recall being assured this would not happen with the site and the divorce.

On January 12th, 2006, I was ordered by a judge to shut the site down as soon as possible. When asked how long it would take to do this as painlessly and efficiently as possible, I suggested 30-45 days. I did explain to the court that it is not as easy as just pulling the site or join page down, but that each one of you needed to be contacted and allowed sufficient time to make any adjustments to your websites or networks. The court recognized my plea and allowed the time asked for to cease and desist operations involving ArikaAmes.com/Arika, Inc. and Twisted Data, LLC.I understand needing to take down the join page, but rather than allowing "sufficient time to make any adjustments", aren't they effectively only giving a couple of days? No point keeping any links/galleries/free sites up if they're not accepting any new joins. Just seemed odd to me to make allowances for time for their affiliates and not actually give it to them. In any case, good luck to all involved.By the end of this weekend (January 15th, 2006) i have no choice but to remove the join page and links to it.Comment

bill waited WAY too long to pull this site down in my opinion... he should have done it a long time ago and the only reason he didn't was because he thought perhaps you would have wisened up and kept it off the ground yourself...
there were other options and paths for you to follow with regards to arikaames.com that could have removed bill from the equation LONG AGO and you know that
why should he maintain your site for you when you're lying in court, trying to get him for anything and everything (even that TV we were going to give you guys) and just acting like this guy is only out to get you when all he wanted to do was come to a fair agreement with you. .
