why has no one killed Karla Homolka?

i mean i am obviously against murder and violence overall, but when it comes to thsi bitch i cannot believe she is allowed to walk to streets a free woman.

i heard on the news today that she is applying for a passport also, and to be honest i wouldnt be surprised if we gave it to her.

i personally know if someone ever hurt/killed any family members of mine like that i would personally have them finished.

why are people giving her jobs? why has no one killed her or at least put her in a wheelchair?

i am not 100% sure if it was her sister (even though i think it was) but they killed 2 teen girls, raped and killed,

she got a lighter sentence for telling on er boyfriend.

yes i totally agree, although i do not feel Canada is quote "hard" at all, i dont feel totally safe due to our lack of punishment,

this girl getting off just shows how terrible our system is.

It's to punish vigillantism. But I think this country needs some vigillanties on many levels including government, healthcare, police, judicial etc. We've got drones and nothing is ever getting done.

When I think of Canada I think of a bunch of old white guys sitting around a board room table with agendas. Everyone is staring at them and all of the topics are marked "Urgent" yet they are just sitting around talking about Hockey and Beer as national identity markers.

This is one country that DESERVES to fail, through the inaction of its government AND citizens.

Canada is a great country, and could be a better one if they would do something about the crime/punishment ratios. The US could learn so much from them, but they have thier heads up their ass. And then again, Canada couls learn a few things from the US.

She served 12 years I think. Apparently she never applied for parole even though she could have. Guess she was busy using our tax dollars to get an education while she was being "punished".

exactly, how on earth do you even make a deal with someone who has killed 2 girls?

she got 10 YEARS! this wasnt some freak car accident where you killed a couple people, this was raping and toturing teenage girls.

it sickens me how our justice system works. also they supposedly had tapes of them commiting the crimes i have no idea why they would even break a deal with her.

The reason Karla got such a light sentence is because SHE gave the prosecutors the tapes as part of her deal. Without those tapes, the evidence wasn't as strong and neither of them would have served much time. I know it's reprehensible, but that's what cutting sweet deals is all about! One thing I'll give her credit for, she was really smart in knowing how to cover her own ass!

I do hope she is rejected for a passport -- after all, you can only qualify for a pardon 7 years after you've completed your parole. And I do hope she dies a tortured and miserable death -- the sooner the better!

My parents live just a short drive down the road from where the Bernardo/Homolka house once stood in Port Dalhousie.

I drove by there just the other day, and even though they've long sinced bulldozed the old house and built a new one on the property, its impossible to go by without thinking about the horrors that took place years ago. Its all very surreal, since Port Dalhousie is a very quaint and quiet lakeside town...about the last place you'd ever imagine something so awful could happen.

And we live just a mile or two from Lake Gibson - where they dumped the cement-encased body of one of their murder victims - Leslie Mahaffey. I often do a lot of photography up in the area and know the exact spot a fisherman and his son found the body.

Every time Homolka's name pops up in the news these days, it sets everyone around here to talking again. What the hell country would even accept her, assuming she manages to get granted a passport?

Not true, she got a deal to testify against her husband by playing the victim and plead guilty and was convicted of lesser charges, before it was found out she was a willing participant and was the sole killer of one of the girls since she was jealous that Paul spent so much time with her.

When Paul found out HE gave them the tapes since he was trying to get back at her since it somewhat showed her killing a girl. (No actual video of it, but the audio proves she did it on her own) and helping him rape them and forcing them to eat her out. But it was too late due to Canadian law, she was already convicted.

This is a very sick story and there was also evidence that he was a big time serial rapist with victim?s numbering well over 100. She also drugged and rapped her own sister who I think was 12 so her husband could watch it, the sister then choked to death on vomit.

This is one of those things that one person brought the worse out of another, but that person took the ball and ran with it, she is no victim.

The thing that will always stick out in my mind when I think of Paul is when he was in jail facing all those charges that was he was more worried about Vanilla Ice ?stealing his moves? then he was over the rapes and murders he and Karla did.

I wonder how her parents feel now. She killed their daughter, yet she is their daughter too. That is fucked up. She is one sorry bitch and I too am surprised no one has done anything to her yet. When they do I hope it's permanent.

There are just sometimes when Capital Punishment seems like a light sentence. This is one of them. In cases where there is no doubt at all, I wholeheartedly believe in "Quid pro quo".
