John and I decided that we'd do things on our own from here on out. I picked out the name BratCash and we set out to find special girls. I thought it was going to be easy, John had impressive recruiting skills, in only a year he had found Mandy, Sarah, Andi, and a bunch of other fresh cute girls who weren't quite solo site material - but we hit a slump, John found a girl we called Crissy Snow, she got a nice reaction here on GFY, actually better than other girls I've posted but I kept thinking she's not very 'brat' like and she's not a star - that's one thing I know, I just looked around at all the really successful solo girl sites and it was obvious, it's all about the girl, without Tawnee and Jordan there is no Lightspeed Steve, he's just another guy with some teen sites, Spunky is just Spunky without Kate, Phil without Nikki and Tiffany is just a very innovative NN photographer, Felix, nuff said - Crissy Snow was all we had and she wasn't a Jordan or Kate or an Andi, I did build her website and hooked it up to CCBILLL but I decided to just let it sit until a later date, Crissy is still out there and will model more if we want her to, but and we were both disappointed, locally John wasn't finding anybody - so I began to help look, one thing about me is that when I get something in my head I will complete the mission, I started building model recruiting sites and advertising all over the place, and no I have never hit up a girl on myspace - I was naive again, I really thought if you offered 18-22 year old girls alot of money some would bite, I was offering 10-20K - through the modeling recruiting site I was getting hundreds and hundreds of submissions. a small handful were solo site caliber, I posted quite a few of them here during that time, maybe 2 or 3 would be star potential, I posted one of those ones here, she turned out to be a little Socal kook - we had her airplane ticket bought but we ended up eating it cuz she was just turning into a pinhead and had chopped off her gorgeous blonde hair and gone brunette. Another one named Shyla, looked like a little mini Pam Anderson, John began to shoot her, unfortunately it turned out that her father was a pastor and John got a midnight visit from him at his downtown studio - the man was shaking and upset, he hand John a fistful of hundred dollar bills - John didn't take it, content was destroyed, all 5 sets of it and that was that for Shyla. Another star to be was found in Vancouver, John talked to this girl for weeks and weeks, bought the air ticket for the test shoot, she was up for it, of course she flaked and never heard from her again. So 4 or 5 months later we still had nothing - I am patient and even if nothing good came up I had made up my mind I wouldn't do anything until I found a star. Then within a week or two - finally something good happened, John was walking through a mall and had seen a girl working in a cookie shop, he was going on and on about how cute she was, he had given her his business card. A week later her and her best friend came up to his studio and John took some test shots of both of them, the friend was shot for Karups and ATK. The cookie shop girl was every bit as cute and personable as John had described her. I finally had found a star - and better yet she came gift wrapped with her own name - Little Cookie. At about the same time while we were going through the submissions we had been getting for months, one came in that i actually ignored - after months of this I had stopped replying to girls I could tell from their photos just weren't going to want to be nude models - the model recruiting sites i had built all had 'NN' non-nude modeling as an option - at the time i thought maybe we would do a NN site if the girl was really special but I had decided that the NN niche was a poor bet these days - so any time a really cute girl submitted her photos it was always that she was only interested in NN - so i stopped replying to those girls, i wasn't interested in playing bait n switch with 18 year old girls. So John showed me this girl's photos - it was just a big collage of photos - some of the photos looked professionally shot, some amateur - she had this amazing face and smile, John asked if I had replied to her and I told him no wasn't going to bother, so he said he would. I said 'good luck with that'. Anyway that was Dawson, and as I predicted she was mostly interested in the NN but left a crack open at topless - John and her began to talk on the phone for a couple of months, I thought he was getting nowhere with her it was dragging out so long, she asked to meet him, we had already wasted a bunch of money on failed trips but I ok'd the trip so John went to meet her and took 4 test sets. The visit went great, John and Dawson are still friends and even though I've never met her in real life I do talk to her and she is what she looks like on video. So finally we had what we had set out to find six months earier - Cookie and Dawson - two stars. They just don't fall out of the sky these days, girls are very leary of nude Internet fame - literally minutes after Dawson's site launched I was running around the Net putting out fires where jerkoffs from her hometown were writing soap opera drama about her.

I just do the leg work on the Net looking for girls who might do nude modeling - I only bother girls who have done some nude modeling before - like the girl I posted yesterday. I found a great girl 2 or 3 months ago, I posted her in a thread here on GFY, i found her by accident, she's actually been shot for two websites before, FTVGirls and a GGW type site, and I liked her so much that i spent days trying to find her - I had leads but nobody would help me when i asked - I finally found her and John went and met her a month ago and I thought we had her, she's now in L.A. shooting for a solo site with some photographer. I talked to her yesterday, she says she didn't understand what i offered her and that's why she rejected us for this other photographer. I think in the end we may end up with her if she bombs out with this guy which i think is likely.

One thing I know, it's not going to get any easier finding great teen models that have never been seen before. Online recruiting can work but it takes a photog with a gift for recruiting to pull it off and close the deal.

As for Jay Rock, haha, he was exactly where John was when I discovered him on GFY three years ago, they are very different guys but their situations were identical and Jay was the same as John, he listens and understands and is grateful for any help i've given him. And he has the gift for recruiting face to face. That takes balls and some charm - both John and Jay are the right age for this, pretty hard for a 40 plus year old guy to hit up girls in malls or coffee shops. I think it would also be harder for a very young guy to do it - 20-25 - good age range is 25-35.

It's all about the girls, the hard part if finding them, the harder part is getting them in to shoot, the hardest part is keeping them.
