To shoot outdoors with out any added lighting . I would sugest shooting the shade ... THeat will give you one to two stops difference from non- shaped areas . (blows out the background and would look very contrasty background) .. this is really the best way to go ... in order not to add any lighting .. If you shoot out in the open your loking at getting heavy harsh shadows under the eyes, nose, neck, tits ..etc ...

Ore having the models face completely in darkness (heavy shadow)
your best bet when stuck shooting in an open area is to shoot early in the day or later in the after noon . when the sun is lower (and behind your - the shooter's back)
