Actually, I had an idea. Punta Leona http://www.hotelpuntaleona.com/photo_gallery/index.htm . I've stayed there before. The beach, Playa Blanca was used in the movie Conquest of 1812 or something and it's beautiful. The private condos are far enough back on the property (takes 15 minues by car to get to the front facilities (food, check in etc), with their own infinity pool and right next to the white sand beach. Ah.. I don't know that place WarChild, but it looks nice and damned handy - and it's a lot less hassle than the ferry trip to Nicoya.Originally posted by WarChild

Yes, it was the Heredia mountain area I was thinking about - there are some very nice places up there, but it's nice to be in a warmer microclimate. Handy for Swiss nationals to make them feel at home!

Pavicen is in Escazu near Santa Ana. One exit passed Multi Plaza on the highway towards Santa Ana.
A complete move from Canada to Guanacaste was going to be too difficult. So I'm in the central valleyf or a bit.
