    How to get people out of China, legally, so they may return?

    I have a dear friend in Beijing, met him on the Internet years ago.

    He's not doing too good right now, and I am in a position to give him more than "the American dream", and I want to.

    He can work with me from Beijing, but if I can get him to Mexico, I can really set this family up into something they can't even dream about. Even if he worked 1 or 2 years, he could seriously be set for life *almost* anywhere in the world.

    He has a wife and a 18 month old baby.

    He tells me it's impossible to get a passporte to leave China, but I see DROVES of Chinese people here, carrying 3 or 4 cameras, how did they get here? I sure as hell can't ask them, most don't speak any English or Spanish.

    I live in Mexico, as everyone knows. NOTHING is impossible here with cash.
    How does it operate in China? How can I get them out, even on a work permit?

    He wants to leave legally, of course. He has family there, he will want to go back and see them, or move back some day.

    Does anyone know how this stuff works over there?
    "Impossible" to him might mean something totally different to me.

          Ya, I know. Well, his English is not good but I understand most of him. I don't know what he means by "impossible", and he won't/can't elaborate.

          SURELY there must be a way. Chinese people are all over the place. Tourists I mean. They are also smuggling up from Belize, but they treat those ppl like shit, and I have a major problem with the cartels allowing this shit to go on the way it does. I'm intimate with those operations

                          The Chinese tourists that you see may be somewhat wealthy folks, those that own real estate or maybe have some businesses in china, Chinese government lets them leave on vacation, because they know they would be too stupid to leave all their stuff behind... but that's just a guess...

                              If they are not wealthy, they won't be able to leave.. not easily anyways, unless they have the money to bribe someone...

                                                  it isn't impossible to get a passport out of China. Plenty of people do it every day without issue. What your friend may not be telling you is his situation or circumstance. As an example, if one of his family members has been involved in anti-government activity, or if he was somehow involved in student protests in the past, he may find himself on a list that prohibits him from getting too far ahead.

                                                  He may also be in a position where the exit visa is available, but only with certain conditions or fees, which he could never afford or live up to.

                                                  He may also be in a position where he took schooling or other benefits from the government, and in return agreed to a work contract for a length of time.

                                                  China is a very complicated country, and many Chinese people are embarrassed to explain the true reasons why something cannot be acheived... or they may not legally be allowed to discuss such things.

                                                  (PS: My girlfriend is a citizen of China. I know the drill all too well).

                                                      I agree that in mexico anything is possible with money but china is a completely different story. Google chinese death vans and youll see what Im talking about.

                                                          Have you thought about contacting a attorney in this field. Many times they have contacts to help. We hire every year forign workers to come to the US to work for year at our hotel on H1-B Visa. The lawyer does all the paperwork and another group takes care of payroll.

                                                          Im in the US so im not sure about your country. Hopefully you find a good solution . I think your a good man for even trying to put this together for someone else.
