Umm D2222 most weed does either make you hungry or sleepy. A few strains will give you an upper buzz but those are rarely the fuck you up and push you into your chair strains either.
So please do tell us the strain you have had so we can get some idea what your talking about.
Lastly I agree with whomever said there is nothing special about the weed in Amsterdam. Hell that city is more of an American stoners wivestale than a reality. Any smart weed smoker will give that city is proper props, then inform you of the legal ways/places in the US, Canada, Mexico, so forth. Then oh yeah keep in standard Nor Cal Humbolt region has always been considered the gold standard to reach, even though the quality has since droped when that standard was put into place.Comment

Btw weed from the coffee shops in the Netherlands is not that great. It has a restricted THC percentage so if you're smoking some home grown weed in another country you could be smoking the better stuff. It's only great if you can't get proper weed in your own country.
Not to mention ppl put a lot of shit in the weed nowadays to increase its weight and sell with more profit. They put powdered glass and other fucked up shit in it, been on the news before.
The best weed I smoked was homegrown, feels a lot more natural

Whenever I smoked weed it just made me feel like I was a having a hard time breathing. Some of the nasty stuff also made it hard for me to get up out of my chair. And of course I would eat whatever was put in front of me.
Can't say I really enjoyed the stuff. Good if you want to be lazy and gain weight I guess. I can do that on my own pretty good as it is.Comment

Evildick, true it is not for everyone. Also not every strain will have same effects. Some will spur on mental creativity, some will sink you into your chair, some makes you sleepy, some makes you hungry, some is lite and energetic, some does a great job of muscle relaxing, so forth.
The whole causes people to be lazy thing though is more of a myth. Those prone to being lazy or needing an excuse to be lazy will deffinatly get lazy off of all types. Then there are those like me, medical usage. Rarely does it make me lazy or even semi stupid/slow. Now if I can just have it make me gain real weight. (hehe it does help you eat, just not enough for me)Comment

I wasn't that impressed, to be honest . . and I went in there thinking it would be all that.
To be honest, I think the medicinal stuff at home kicks the ass of just about everything I have sampled. You can really tell the difference between the indicas and sativas though.
There were a couple of standouts, but the only thing that makes it special here, is that you don't need a card to buy it, and you don't have to wait to get home to smoke it.Comment
