Quite honestly, I'd be surprised if it sold via Ebay, but posted it there to gauge interest ... from the looks of things, it appears many are taking notice ... 10 watchers as of this moment.

Some numbers to keep in mind when valuing this package.

To buy the same ~8000 targeted uniques per day that cannabis.com domain package gets via paid PPC (assume a mesely $0.10 per click x 8000 clicks = $800 per day!) could easily cost nearly $300,000 per year!

Gross revenues for 2005 was around $100K ... with some work and right talent, it could easily be much, much more ... plus underlying the domain names, in particular cannabis.com, continues to increase in value.

This is a winner for the right buyer ... if even slightly interested, place a bid at Ebay and/or PM me (domagon) at DNForum and/or email [email protected]

There are now 4 bids as of this moment.

The amount of the bids are not exceptional, but they further demonstrates that the cannabis.com package has much value...

The highest bonafide offer received (was off Ebay) was $500K about two months ago, along with several lesser 6-figure offers, including two that were actually via past Ebay auctions.

Ebay won't allow me to change the reserve price due to less than 12 hours left - however, anyone who places a bid of at least $600K or more, I'll be seriously willing to negotiate selling at or near that price asap ... $600K or so is a very realistic amount, and more to the point, an amount that many people here can likely justify and afford.

Will consider letting it go for $700K to a buyer ready to proceed right away...

Keep in mind that there have been numerous 6-figure offers, including a few in the $250K - $300K range and the highest at $500K.

In regards to $100K+ offers, there are some who have publicly made such offers ... do some searching / asking around on DNForum.

The domain details are for real, the domain sale is for real, the bonafide offers are for real ...

It takes time to sell high-end domains, much like it does in physical real estate ... many people believe, as I do, cannabis.com is a 7-figure domain, but few people out there have 7-figure budgets to buy it right now; many potential buyers still don't know it's available for purchase.

Domain prices keep going up ... cannabis.com barely worth $200 (some guy wanted to buy it, I asked $10K, and he countered with $200 tops) back in June 1997 ... fast-forward several years, there are numerous potential buyers ready to pay well into 6-figures cash right now for the domain ... value is certainly there ... question is who will grab it - the underlying domain itself, regardless of what's on it, will continue to increase in value ... my reason for offering it for sale is that I'd like to do something else.

I didn't accept the top $500K offer because cannabis.com, in my view, is worth more than that.

The Ebay auctions was mainly to generate interest - many potential buyers still don't know it's available for purchase.

Ebay auction history: First Ebay auction had a top bid of $125K (confirmed legit; DNForum member), the second auction had a top bid of $250K (questionable validity), and the last auction a top bid of around $31K. Many others who had offered more didn't bid at Ebay, in large part, because they already knew what I was asking - more than what they'd already offered privately.

Your "RULE #1" is nonsense ... highly profitable businesses are bought and sold all the time. My motivation of selling cannabis.com is to focus on other things, as I've already clearly explained before.

kursk- weed.com is a nice domain for sure, but comes with some limitations ... lack of focus, singular verses plural (unless they own both of them), various translations (cannabis is spelled / means the same in many languages while weed does not), and various negative connotations ... most people do not like weeds LOL! On an aside, in my view, weed.com would be best developed as a website offering lawn care products / services.

JoesTraffic- targeted, quality traffic is worth way more than 1 cent / click ... but then surely you already know that.

maxjohan- I've sold numerous domains with minimal content, minimal earnings, etc for 6-figures ... so it's no stretch to believe cannabis.com, which has much quality traffic, is developed, profitable, etc is worth more than $500K ...
