    The poor guy has been designing for 10 years and can't afford a trip to Vegas like the lowly outsourcers who can afford a booth. 10 years and submitters make more money than him. 10 years and the gallery designer from India makes more than him. This guy must live under a ladder and own 5 black cats.

      P.S. Dear AlienQ. I have paid designers from <gasp> other countries. Is there something wrong with that or should design be exclusive to your US of A? Oh yeah, I paid them probably more than you make per design so they were rich in their homeland while you are still scraping by.

                      Yeah I find it hilarious for him to say he was "priced out" It'll only run him $50 or less in gas to drive there and back. He said his hotel room was covered so no expenses there. The parties were free and there was tons of free alcohol. He could have easily gotten an exhibit pass from the many that were being given away. All he had to do was pay for a few meals and a little fun. He could have gotten away only spending a couple hundred, yet he was priced out.

                          I know several others many of which many of you folks would be surprised just make a living like myself and work a budget. I am practical, make sacrifices for my clients and do my best to keep a clean plate in business.

                          Thats Business.
                          GFY is not business. Its place to see who can scream the loudest to get eyeballs.

                          I am not afraid to say I just get by in the business. Its like all you kids that live with mom and do not pay rent all fail to realise that when you grow up, you pay for alot of things to just live. Enjoy it, kick back and know someday odd's are you will end up exactly like me.

                          Thats just the way it is.

                          Why its a shame to be the kind of guy that gets by in the biz I have no idea, its not shameful to live modestly, I enjoy it. Its rough sometimes sure. I love this business I like what I do, and in the process maybe I do not make as much as others.

                          Let goto the reasons why.

                          1: I do not scam people.
                          2: I do not abuse traffic/subscribers to sites with intrusive marketing, spam, toolbar jacking or any of the sort. I play a fair game when it comes to that sort of thing most of you folks Do not. I happen to pride myself in that fact.

                          Sure I could be rich, sure I could steel traffic from most of you if I wanted to, I could do a wide variety of black operations, swap affiliate codes, skim traffic and be sucking martini's down on a tropical island before any of you could run to GFY and cry about it.

                          I know I could it EASILY.
                          Its been tempting, I could rob anyone spammer with a list on a server and make a great break at any moment.

                          But I choose not to.

                          Why?
                          Because I am not that kinda guy, yet I have to endure mindless drivel that Alienq is a broke fuck publicly...

                          Sad. Very fuckin sad to punch people not as well off, or in worse situations its cruel.
                          Very cruel, especially when sometimes I am on the verge mentally of making a big hiest just to forget about all of you...

                                                                      I divorced years ago. Which is another long story but I will summarise.
                                                                      In short I bankrupted my ex wifes family fighting for my own kids custody.
                                                                      I spent alot of my easy early day money doing that. Not just her parents, her whole family Moms dad's and uncles that pitched in to fight me fighting for my own daughter and the right to see her. You aint got a clue about any of it.

                                                                      If ya not read the news lately my wifes family has been in the news and its taken a hard toll on everyone. I have scrambled to the Bay Area and back two times already over the matter and now we goto find a way to deal with the recent loss of the two family members.

                                                                      I am trying to be fucking nice lately really trying man, but I keep getting fucked harder. Little piss fuck threads like this at the wrong moment. So until you walk in my god damn shoes ya better just leave it alone till you really know.

Especially in Vegas. Ya do not goto Vegas on a Raman diet on the super cheap bumming food and drinks off the sponsors that make it happen. You go to have fun with people not take advantage of em.

I didnt want to take advantage of his kindness and I was not going to get much done. Family Matters also factored into the decision. Again. Shit you know nothing about.

I think the common phrase for it is "starving artist". Very few people are smart enough to realize they have zero business sense and need someone to help them grow. You just attack everyone doing better than you because you are a miserable, second rate, underachiever who can't stand to see someone running a company better.

                                                                                                                                              Oh, and you're right. I don't design, I don't like to code, hell I don't do much of anything creative. Unless you call paying designers / programmers / whatever to do the backend work so I can concentrate on my skill which is making money. One of the things you can't grasp but refuse to do anything about. Must be fun.
