How automated are you and your sites?

When you build sites, do you build them to be fully/nearly automated or do you still do manual building/updates?

If you got hit by the proverbial bus, would your operation continue on or would it whither away?

I 4 almost fully automated sites, and a lot that require daily work.

If I get hit by a bus I'm sure my employees would continue operating them for me.

    I'm just a newbie.

2 of my 4 sites so far are 100% automated, i don't really have to touch them for days on end.

I remember one time Bishop (from AEBN) once told me his stuff was so automated, if he got hit by a bus, his sites would still just keep on running. This was back in about '99 or so.

Fairly well automated - the only "updates" are to central repository content but the detail/quality of that content is important.

Actual sites are simply shells/skins, but it's still a good idea to hand-tailor prime pages for SEO purposes.

Automatation is the key to success in my opinion, I try to automate as much as possible, from domain registration to keyword analysis to site building and backlink generation...still far away from my 100% automatation goal, but the less you need to do manually, the bigger you can grow your networks without losing the overview or getting buried in daily work.

I got some hand written blogs as well, autoupdating TGPs I manually add galleries to, but the auto generated stuff is becoming more and more efficient.
