After Christmas I almost had a heart attack late at night. No joke. I posted a contest about it but I want to tell the story seperate as it is very strange.
Growing up in a small southern town in the late 70's was boring as fuck, so we did a lot of drugs to pass the time. My drug of choice was acid. Not the paper blotter that someone could drop anything on; I was a dot man. Red Microdots were my favorite, I loved Mescaline. During high school every Friday was dot day. I would drop a purple (Speedy) or red(mescaline) and go to school and trip out all day long.And then after school as I was coming down I would drop another dot. Well one Friday I dropped one too many and me and a friend went cruising on a friday night. Somehow we ended up in the boondocks lost on abandoned roads. He was driving and I was rolling. For 3 hours we were lost, the whole time I was seeing bluelights behind me. Thinking it was cops I tossed joint after joint out the window. Finally after 3 hours and 2 ounces out the window my friend pulled over for the cop that was chasing us, and showed me that there was no copping chasing us. If you ever did acid you realize how real the hallucinations are.
24 years later my kids get me a bluetooth cell phone and a bluetooth home phone that you can hook the cell phone thru, and a bluetooth wireless earphone. I love electronics so I played with all this shit for days. After taking them to their moms at night, I am driving back home and I kept seeing reflections of a blue flashing light. Thinking it was a cop I pull over on the side of the road, yet no cop is behind me. Figuring I am just tired, I pull back on the road and go home.
The new house I just moved into has tons of windows and mirrors, and I just set up several large saltwater tanks, all in front of big windows. So I am checking the fish out and again out the corner of my eye I see blue flashing lights. Now I'm getting scared, I run thru every room making sure I did not leave any guns or bullets laying around. That's all I need is for the police to raid my house to find me near a gun. Then I go to the front window and look in the driveway, I am motionless and there again it is , the blue flashing lights. I am thinking to myself "Why don't they just fucking knock on the door and get it over with?" My heart is racing, I'm starting to sweat a little. I turn on my laptop, load my 2257 software and get ready for a raid. As I am sitting in front of the laptop again I see the blue lights out the corner of my eye and reflecting on a fish tank. Fuck, these fuckers are actually going to raid me.
Now my heart is really racing and I'm nervous as shit, I find Walters 24/7 hotline and right it down and punch it into my phone. Why is it when you get really nervous you have to piss really BAD? So I go into my bathroom which has NO windows and start whizzing away. Sure enough, there's those flashing blue lights again. There was no way it came from outside as there were no windows in this bathroom. Suddenly I recalled the time I tripped out on dots and thought cops were chasing us. Fearing a flashback, I really start freaking and get ready to call a ambulance. My chest starts hurting, I have a very hard time breathing and I feel very faint. The room starts getting darker and darker. All I can think of is my kids growing up without a dad.
The dizziness passes so I come out of the toilet to find the phone, steady myself on the bathroom sink and look in the mirror to see if my pupils are dialated.
It was at this time that I noticed the wireless bluetooth earphone had a blinking blue light on it.
