For the year ended June 30, Ballmer received $620,000 in salary and a $650,000 bonus. Unlike some technology companies that spend millions on executive security, travel and other perquisites, Microsoft gave Ballmer a modest $6,750 in matches to his 401K retirement plan and approximately $3,000 worth of life insurance and athletic club memberships.
Ballmer, who owns about 4.3 percent of Microsoft's shares, received no equity compensation. He didn't exercise any stock options or vest any stock awards during the year, the company said in the Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
So you would refuse that job if they'd offer it to you?
ABSOLUTELY. While I only make 1/10th of that now I would not give up my freedom for that kind of money. I make enough to not worry about money without being someones bitch and that's more than enough for me.

He owns 4.3% of a company that is worth 250B+, he makes well into the 7 figures a year just from dividends....

yes but that wasn't part of the pay . nobody is arguing he isn't rich.. but he owned the same stock last year and he made the company tens of billions in profits this year

Ballmer is one of the wealthiest men in america, why should he even take a salary to manage HIS own $XXXB company? $100,000 is not even enough to fill his mega yacht gas tank.
Microshit programmers anyway do all the work these days, managers throw money around in pet projects like Xbox and other shit, losing billions in shareholder money.
Microshit is a monopoly, they don't need to 'make money', the money flows in naturally, money comes to them, they are not after money.
His pay comes from increasing the value of the stock which he own. I don't think he should be given any extraoridany salary. He is working to increase his share value. No salary could match what increasing the value of millions of shares could.
i dont think thats correct, i was investigating the richest man in the world the other day and I believe Bill's salary was listed at $999,999,999.00 per year
Brightlight they bought everything Lens had including Eric for 10 million and then they are going to pay him over a million dollars a year to work for them ?
Also everybody hears the big numbers but when your paying out $110 dollars on on a what $25 dollar membership,I think its not as profitable as everyone thinks.I bet the net is maybe 15 percent.
