I want to be rich and famous...
I want to move to Hollywood so I can be discovered.
I am tired of my banal ordinary existence as a webmaster.
I am ready for the glitz and the glamour, the hair stylists and wardrobe consultants, the makeup artist, the entourage, the papparazi, the summers in the Hamptons, the parties at Puff Daddy's house in Miami, the free gift bags at all the events and movie festivals, the haute couture designer gowns, the 50k a pop shopping sprees.
Someone make me a star before I lose it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

Of course whe was buying something. Mostly water and juice.Originally posted by adultchicaWhat was she buying anyway? I am just curious
Everybody in the neighborhood is now telling me who is famous or not. I dont' watch alot of MTV or tv at all so I wouldn't know most of these people if they had a sign on their shirt. Tons of musicians live here and visit. We have three long blocks of restaurants so that's why.
What cracks me up is that I know all the cooks and chefs and waitresses and they'll tell me about how they'll talk to some celebrity and they'll talk about comic books and mention me and the celebs knew who I was! Total shock to me!
Lots of people have Cyber Age memberships so I know that helps a lot. Plus Ebay sells stuff of mine from my comic book days.
I think many of you would be surprised at how many people are fans of your sites but won't admit it.Comment

I see more celebs in grocery stores than any other location. When I lived in Malibu, I walked/jogged on the beach almost every day. This area even beats the stores. I love movies, but I have never asked anyone for an autograph. But I do approach some actors and tell them how much I enjoyed their work. I get a kick out of running into artists I enjoy when they are just relaxing in their day-to-day lives.
I remember seeing John Travolta in Boys Market in the Marina. He was with an older woman, (it might have been his mother), and I did a doubletake. I guietly moved my grocery cart behind him to see what he was buying. At the time he was very buff.
The most fun I ever had was when I hit Ringo's car. (outside another grocery store) It was my fault. The car was an older Foreign looking car. His
manager was driving the car. I expected them to jump out and start yelling at me. I was getting out my insurance card when Ringo took off his glasses to check out the back bumper. When I saw who it was, I lost my voice. I started apologizing, and he laughed and said..."it's only a scratch." My car was not damaged. I was hoping they would exchange personal information,
but when I said I had lost my glasses in the store, Ringo gave me a card with his eye doctor's address. I would have preferred a Beatles business card.

I'm a total cinephile, and I would probably tell a star if I liked a film if they were right by me. However, I wouldn't sneak up on them in the grocery line or go out of my way to say it.Comment

ROFL! I can see the movie now... He must've freaked. That's a story worth telling and then some.Originally posted by MicroChickI see more celebs in grocery stores than any other location. I remember meeting Howard Cosell back when I was in High School. He didn't have his makeup on. Me and my girl were at the ABC building in NY on a class trip and lo and behold there was Cosell. Gave us his autograph too. He was no small fry. Big shoulders.
Two celebs visited me today whilst I was just coming home from the restaurant. Two pals of mine who are producers/directors/actors. They know all the celebs and told me who lived in the area. It's really funny because I wouldn't know who was who unless they were in a monster movie or sci fi movie or a western. I stopped trying to remember celebs after '97. My memory gave out. Plus too many famous people don't earn it through talent, they get it for fucking something up somehow.
In MY day you had to earn talent.

Oh, almost forgot, I would run into Geena Davis like once a week. She ate at a bistro around the corner. I'm about 6'2" and was looking UP at Geena Davis.
Almost the same with Gates McFadden who played Dr. Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation. She was almost eye to eye with me and we almost collided. Lemme tell you, video does not do that woman justice when it comes to looks. She was so beautiful I almost couldn't keep on walking. I thought I was hallucinating. Some people actually look better in real life than on film or video.Comment
