1) are you coming to Vegas ?
Yes, I?ll be there Saturday and Saturday night.

2) Are you happy?
Absolutely! I don?t think I?ve ever been happier in my life.

3) How many girls under your stable is your target goal? Or do you want to have as many as possible.
There is no real plan for ?number of girls? ? but I do want to keep adding the best solo girls I can find, as fast as I can find them.

4) How come I wasn't invited to dinner at your place last year in Phoenix. I don't eat much. I swear.
Last year?s dinner party was mostly a private function for Lightspeed affiliates and business associates. It was nothing personal, just limited space.

5) What do you think is the single biggest goal you have for your program to achieve in 2006?
Profitabilty. There is a big difference between ?being huge? and ?being profitable?. I?d rather be profitable.

6) If you met yourself when you didnt have as much money many years back and now see the person you are now with all your money, would you be disappointed in how you treat people or if you had become spoiled?
I?m sure there is a message in the question, but the truth is, I try to treat people as well as I can. I may be a bit spoiled now. Money doesn?t buy happiness, but it sure can free up your time to find what does make you happy.

7) how many sales do you make per day?
My affiliates make most of the sales. I make websites that sell.

8) how many rebills?
I believe our sites rebill well above industry average.

9) whats your profit margin on the PPS program?
Should I just post my income tax return instead?

10) do i get free jaegermeister shots for mcing the dodgeball tournament again?
Absolutely! In fact, this year, I?m planning to open the whole bar for everyone during the dodgeball war at Phoenix Forum!

11) Do you feel that now that you have money that you treat people not on personal integrity but what their value is to you and your company?
Nope. Most of my closest friends have little or nothing to do with my business. In my experience, the situation is usually reversed; People who didn?t give me the time of day before now treat me like a VIP.

12) What do you see the future of Lightspeed branching into in the following two years?
DVDs, PPV, VOD, mobile content, and possibly hardcore sites.

13) what is your opinion about sponsors which have their cross sales prechecked ? do you view that is being a bit shady and fucking over the surfer a bit?
I can?t speak to what other sponsors do. We don?t use prechecks on any Lightspeed sites.

14) Think mobile porn will really take off? (cellphone,ipod,psp,etc)
I?ve been playing with the video IPOD, PSP, and a mobile phone that plays video. I can see a demand for the content on those platforms, but not sure about the MARKET. Why don?t we just add the new formats to existing websites as a value-add?

15) Do you want to work with lightspeedcash (porn) for the rest of your life or would you want to maybe do something else in a few years and if so what would that be?
I plan to be with Lightspeed as long as its still fun. When it stops being fun, I?ll find something else to do. I love to travel. If I ever leave this industry, you?ll find me traveling the world instead.

16) Why did jordan capri come back, did she realize the real world was pretty hard?
Jordan came back because she is a normal person whose life changes from day to day. I admired her for having the guts to walk away from a lot of money to follow her religious beliefs. She came back because she realized that being spiritual and being a nude model can co-exist. We welcomed her back with open arms, and things are better than ever!

17) How did you get started in the business and what was your first site?
I was running my own programming/consulting company, and I started Lightspeed in 1999 as a hobby. I wish I had started much earlier, maybe if my high school guidance counselor would have been smarter: "Well, let's see. You like COMPUTERS and you like PORN... I know the perfect job for you!"

My wife Shannon had a lot to do with the beginning of Lightspeed too. I used to kid her that if we ever got divorced, I was going to move to LA to produce porn. She said, "We don't need to be divorced for you to do that!" She is an amazing person; I don't think many women could put up with my lifestyle.

Running Lightspeed has never really been about the money for me. I really wanted to do something fun with my life. I was such a computer nerd in school, and in my 20's, I never really had FUN. I thought life was about the pursuit of money and career goals. I think starting Lightspeed was my response to an early mid-life crisis for me.

Also, I was a avid porn viewer and web surfer. In 99 there were only a few really good websites, and mostly disappointing ones. I wanted to see if I could do it better. I was inspired by ATK, Karups, TNV, and a couple others.

Ls-University.com was my first site. It was a labor of love. I worked on it every day with no help. I did every job from recruiting models, shooting, webmastering, customer service, and accounting. It just kept growing until it was making enough money to completely close my programming company. In spring of 2000, I walked away from a career that I'd been building for 13 years to do this full time. I don't miss my old life one bit. I'm glad I was in a position to chase my dream.

18) What's with the new LightSpeed girls? No offense, but the majority (the new, European girls) just aren't the quality that LightSpeed is known for.
I disagree. We just tried something different in 2005. The ?teen allstars? series of sites that we opened in 2005 are all performing AS WELL OR BETTER than most of our AMERICAN GIRL sites from 2004. Everyone who thinks European girls aren?t as hot, or don?t sell, needs to GO TO EUROPE and get over their AMERICAN-CENTRIC point-of-view!

19) LightSpeed girls aside, which solo girl do you think has the most "selling power" in the industry?
I hate to name names, in fear of leaving anyone out. I have to say I?ve been very impressed by KatesPlayground.com ? she is a solo program owners dream.

20) how much would you pay for a potential lightspeed model? example - a model of the same caliber as jordan capri ect that has an exclusive but is open to selling the contract..
It depends on the girl. If you have someone specific in mind, I wouldn?t consider it without express prior permission from her current partner(s). Simple preliminary discussions in the past have led to accusations of ?model stealing?. I?d rather steer clear of all that!

21) Where will you be at 5am on any the mornings of internext so that I too can get a Lightspeed jersey
Haha, someone should have his jersey taken away for revealing a close-guarded secret!

22) If at the same time that you were begginning your first site you were offered a nice 9-5 job. Highly paid/full benifts the work, would you have taken it?
When I started my first site, I was already making $200k/year as a programmer/consultant. All the money in the world wasn?t enough to keep a career that I hated.

23) Speaking of Richard, are you looking for a new Roc/COO?
No, I plan to distribute Richard?s work among a few existing people, including myself.

24) and Was there any drama/scoop behind him leaving? Seemed very civil, always nice to see
Richard is a good friend, and was a fantastic employee. There was no drama, we both agreed years ago that no matter what happens, our friendship will remain intact. I think this transition was executed flawlessly on both sides. No blood = no foul.

25) Oh, and with all these other programs having epiccams, streamate, etc etc etc... Have you considered doing a lightspeed girls 'cam site'?
Yes I have considered it. But I also don?t want to spread so thin that nothing is done WELL. I?d rather focus on what I know.

26) What is tradition for you?
I think this question was in reference to me saying ?Answering these questions is like a tradition for me." I was very happy with the first ?100 questions? post. I hope this one is as well received. I was given great advice when I was new; I do my best to give it back.

27) as a top dog in this biz, where do you see the industry heading?
I wish I knew! I think the smoke from the .xxx and 2257 issues are starting to clear, hopefully 2006 will be a growth year!

28) do you think the solo girl craze will eventually die out? if so, soon?
The ?solo girl craze? will slow in 2006, as people realize that it isn?t as easy as they hoped. It takes more than just good pictures of a hot girl to succeed!

I doubt it. Although I've removed every reason he has to bash me. I don?t like the way he chooses to present himself or handle his problems. I will stay away from him, and I hope he?ll give me the same courtesy. But he won't. He loves the last word.

Our talk at Internext on Saturday night was a positive thing in my opinion. Do you agree? Every word I said was sincere. I believe the same of everything you said as well. Here's to 2006 being different. I would love to become a Steve Lightspeed fan again, as I was before.
