                What's really funny is after forming some very close relationships with some of the largest earners and influencers in the adult industry, coming to find out MANY are very conservative and are in this for nothing more than the money. All while agreeing with affiliates on liberal issues to benefit their bank accounts, while laughing at the loonies behind closed doors. The idiots here will believe anything. Carry on fools

As for the big wigs in the industry who are conservative, I know this to be true, and I would get in big trouble and bitched at if I mentioned his/her names in here, lol. One of them told me the reason why she thinks so many in here are so anti-conservative anti everything is because they hated their parents and are rebelling now in their young adulthood. Makes sense to me; have conservative parents, want to rebel and be ultra-liberal

                                    An extremist is NOT someone who attacks an ideologue like Pat Robertson. An extremist is someone who actually defends blathering idiots like him, all the while cloaking themselves as a 'moderate thinker.'

                                    I still believe Robertson has the right to espouse the puke he does, and I would defend that right. But he's open to the ridicule that he deserves.

                                                                        Let me tell you something about Islam also, everything according to Islam is a direct result of God's actions. They believe God will's starving children so that for example the rest of the world can appreciate what it is like to have a full stomach. It sounds crazy I know, but unlike with Christianity this is the mainstream thought process of almost every Muslim. I am not going to go into a rage about how ridiculous I find it, but I think it is important for people to realise that lots of people think like this, not just a few fundamentalists.

                                                                                White House press spokesman Trent Duffy said to reporters on Air Force One that Robertson's comments "don't have a place in this or any other debate," reports The Washington Post.

                                                                                He added that the president is praying for Sharon's full recovery.

                                                                                The 77-year-old Israeli prime minister remains in a medically-induced coma following a "significant" stroke on Wednesday. He is listed critical condition.

                                                                                                                            I will be honest I used to think like that also. I have met and seriously spoken to alot of intelligent religious people though and I do generally understand and even respect their point of view. One thing I have noticed is that it is really an endless debate though if you have two intelligent people discussing the matter. One of the things that really showed that to me was when I watched this debate: http://grove.ufl.edu/~hasa/transcript.html.

                                                                                                                            Of course my personal opinion is that organised religion isn't something I follow, and in fact I consider Islam much like Christianity a few hundred years ago, and comparable to fascism in the sense that most Muslims believe Islam must dominate every fascist of their lives, governments, countries, etc based on their often extreme interpretations of how they should act, etc. I think religion however isn't necessarily bad, Christianity has managed to evolve pretty well (not completely, but mostly), but it appears at this point in time the fastest growing religion in the world (Islam) and the religion that very sadly seems to be taking over Europe is going backwards and slipping further into a fascist mentality.

                                                                                                                                Oh and also I think a good explanation for people accepting religion so easily comes down to tribalism. In my opinion, even more than the desire to believe in a God, people want to belong to a clearly defined group with a cause. Often that is an ethnicity, but I think the trend is moving towards people's tribalistic instincts being played out in the relm of religion (which in itself is often tied to ethnicity anyway).
