It's a matter of will-power. You gotta be stronger than the urge to smoke.

Good news is, after you successfully do it, you kinda have this epiphany that you're capable of doing anything.

In the meantime, pick a day... maybe pick a crutch (the gum, the patch) or don't (remember, it's only a cruth... they don't mean shit if you're not mentally prepared and dead set on quitting smoking. If you're not there, save yourself the time and effort and wait until yuo are)... and stick to it... realizing every time that you wanna light u - if you do - you'll be tossing away all the suffering you've already gone through - making it next to meaningless, and have to relive it again when you finally do decide to quit.

That mentality kept me going in the hardest times, and I'm now 7 years cigarette-free.
