It's not a matter of choosing to focus on the affiiates efforts *instead of* anything else. It's the process of elimination with the affiliates marketing as the final step. The sponsor already knows at a glance if there are, or ever were, any technical difficulties with a paysite as well as it's overall ratio across all traffic sources. Once thats known, where else should the sponsor focus but the marketing and advertising efforts of the one individual? Without successful affiliates, a program is nothing. Dont forget that. Ever.
