well even if all they were making is 1 cent per click it isnt exactly "awesome" but if your flipping thousands and thousands of clicks it adds up

Search engines are no different than TGP's. Free listings are just content to attract traffic. Once they have the traffic, they will sell whatever listings they can for as much as they can.

SEO's may not like it, but in the long run the money making spots will go to whoever is willing to pay the most. No one has the "right" to be listed #1 for free. If you think you do... try taking the seach engines to court over it.
Im here to help surfers find relevant content

people do , go search for paris hilton video and you will see dmca complaints..

its false advertising.. its one thing to say the site , its another to actually display the site name and send you to another site withouts its permission..

although generally i agree with you its yahoo's call in the end. but linking www.yoursite.com ( the text ) to www.someothersiteyoudidntgivepermissionto.com is another

I agree with you 100%, I would never do that, but this is an entirely different scenario we are talking about here bro. These links in question do not have any affiliate codes visible, just shows the main url of the pay site and are in place of the listing that should go to the real site intended for.

thats what we are all concerned about including the thread starter. its not about cancelling anyone, its about right and wrong.

                      A few more observations:

If you goto Wildline's redirect page (www.wildlinecorp.com/app/kk.php) without any parameters you get taken to a page promoting all NastyDollar sites

This does change things a bit in that IF wildline was simply using the submission program and getting links to sponsor sites listed #1 "naturally", I can't see a page that defaults to a redirect to another domain ranking #1 ... at least not easily!

Also, the redirect script points to all of their sites so it would again be very hard to achieve a #1 position for so many keywords from a single "page".

Next up, look at these search results for "Next Door Nikki" on another search engine:
                      http://www.nekoo.com.ar/search/next-door-nikki/1-2.html

Result #15 is a direct, titled URL from WildLine that takes you right to Nikki's home page. It uses the above-mentioned script.

But notice the description underneath the title/link:
"The Huge Natural Rack on this beautiful girl makes for an extraordinary package. Unbelievable tits on such a cute little body. Tantalizing, TITilating fun for just $24.95"

That does not show up on Nikki's home page ... and since this is a redir URL it shouldn't be cached nor the title/desc/content used in a listing. But it also shows up as the decription in Yahoo.

Nooooowww, way over in Google NONE of the kk.php pages are indexed properly - either that have been flagged for duplicate content or some other reason. Clearly, this file has a redirection portion to it (duh), but what's more relevant is it's getting descriptions/title tags, etc. listed in Yahoo that don't match the destination site.

                      What does all this mean?
                      More work for me haha
But you can conclude that the kk.php is using cloaking and/or their pages are turning up #1 on Yahoo because the various "versions" of the page are optimized very well for their target keyword(s) - getting the kk.php indexed on various other sites as noted
                      above.

None of this necessarily points out Yahoo is selling anything, yet.

One thing is for sure, they opened up for fullblown attacks on these listings. What would it take for wildline to dump a certain paysite name? Lots of unproductive hits..

These paysite name listings are golden though. You have no idea how difficult it is to get them on google. You need to direct a lot of linkjuice to the page to get in the top10 for a bangbros/topbucks site.

it also happens with type in's

like if someone types your domain into the address bar in IE and leaves off the .com it will use msn for the most likely match ( wich will run thru wildline )

yahoo is counting on the fact people will optimize for google thus increasing the ranking of sites to sell to wildline on yahoo ..

If it werent for seo , nobody would link directly to a sponsor.. thus making those links non-existing in the serp's

if google did this people would just stop optimizing for ref links to sponsors , they would optimize for FPA's that cant be bought out by 3rd parties

i think the description is coming from the directory listing that is paid for by the site owner..

Yahoo can do anything with his traffic.

It?s not your right to get it.

And why are people searching your pay site name anyway?
Maybe because they've seen a gallery promoting your site or a free site or a banner ... created by some affiliate

why has to be your right to get that traffic?

surfers wouldn't know the difference, the serps would still be just as relevant, if the only change is sending to a site with a ref code as opposed to no ref code. its a smart way for them to earn extra money without compromising their integrity to their surfers.

                                          not at all.

we are CONCERNED why they are selling it to someone else, when it clearly shows a www.exactname.com domain that we own for each site in question. if they were to tell me i have to pay X amount for that position, many of us would take it, even though we rank there anyhow for that tld exact name search with their current algorithmns. thats all anyone is saying here.

You have to wonder how long it will be until they start selling keywords like "CDs" or "DVDs" or "Toys" to affiliates.

It's not so much what they are doing now, it's the principles of selling their results to the highest bidder by decieving the surfer.

How would you like it if wildonline bought the clicks from your #1 link listed here: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=onp...b-t&fl=0&x=wrt

                                              and redirected them to: http://www.freakydeak.com
That scenario is currently happening to us now, wait till it happens to you and then post here again.

SEO's may not like it, but in the long run the money making spots will go to whoever is willing to pay the most. No one has the "right" to be listed #1 for free. If you think you do... try taking the seach engines to court over it.
From what I've seen on numerous occasions (not all), if you aren't number one for your domain you could get the SE's to fix it for you.

You have more of a right to be listed number 1 for your domain than the SE's do to steal and repackage your content and make money off it without asking you. The SE's can do whatever they want with your content until challenged like many news services and others are doing now.

But isn't the issue here the sneakiness of it and the loss of income for the site owner? Listing a result artificially at number one to the highest bidder without any hint to the surfer that it is a paid listing is just wrong. Yahoo is evil!

I am sure they wouldn't allow it if it went to another paysite eg ND going to TCG or whatever.

The thing that I don't get is that it's been going on for some time so Yahoo is obviously quite cool with it, Wildonline is not a renegade violating TOS..sooo..why the fuck is no one else doing it? Are they consistently the highest bidder and only the first spot with the root domain is for sale?

they took our listing and sold it to wildonline to do with it whatever they want for a price
I'm still not sold that Yahoo *sold* your listing. You will notice - if you look closely - that they have sites listed under other terms that are not ranked #1. Regular SEO-ed pages are listing ahead of them and they are NOT using the Yahoo Submission service or redirecting anywhere.

If you see my post above (on this page) you'll see that there are some curious things going on, but to outright claim Yahoo sold the #1 spot to Wildline or another site isn't proven yet.

One thing to consider: With all the SEOs out there, Yahoo is aware that people do go through search results with a fine tooth comb - not just surfers blindly clicking on links. What clearly, at first glance, seems to be paid spots among their SERPs would be devastating to their integrity of providing pure search results.

Now why on Earth would Yahoo risk that knowing full well they'll be called out on it?

well, when i spoke to them today, they said that absolutely not they would never do that. so, i am waiting to hear back before i go accusing them officially. however, if they have not, then questionable cloaking and other types of se foolery are going on. i've heard a few other things today, but i am going to chill, instead of having a hot head like i normally do, until i find out for certain, then i will def not be afraid to drop the hammer. i believe your post that they may not be selling them. it will all come out in the wash and then we can all know. until then, all is good. i don't wanna go scream drama and there be nothing, which i almost did.

We actually designed our fhg and fhs urls to be search engine friendly and I encourage that practise. If you do a search for bikini voyeur or nude beach or whatever you will see tons of my fhg's and such with the affiliate links attached. I'm all for that as those are additional links.

This thread is a different issue though. This shit yahoo's doing is fucked up. And if by chance they are not the ones responsible, they are allowing it, so they are still responsible.

(it remains to be discovered exactly what is happening, but until it does, i wont rule anything out.)

i am an seo myself, and before i came back to adult thats what paid my bills. read around the mainstream seo forums too, lots of pro mainstream seos are not vibing on this wildline thing either. like i said, i will wait to see what yahoo says.

let me ask you this question.

do you think that it is ok that wildline is taking referrals on domain keywords that the sponsor already ranks #1 for? this is work thta the sonsor did on their own domains to gain that position. is it fair that a seo marketing company is in some way taking that top level domain name keyword search and redirecting that search result through their affil code to get credit for traffic that the sponsor worked for on their own. jsut a simple question. like i said, i am not going to fully pass judgement until i get the 100% accurate answer from yahoo about what is happening. yahoo says they don't sell off peoples tld search results. what does that leave?

My answer to your question might surprise you because YES, if wildline or any other affiliate can make a page that ranks number 1 and bumps me down the list then KUDOS to them and more power to them.

I don't think that's the case with this issue as explained in above posts.
