I hope that it turns out your wife made a mistake as that would be a better alternative to always wondering if one of your neighbors did it and having to give them the stink eye.

On a side note, my friend just put a fish pond in his backyard. He had trouble with Ospreys catching his fish so he strung a bunch of line over the pond to keep the birds from diving in. Then he had problems with cats and raccoons grabbing fish out of the pond so he put so much landscaping around it you can barely see it. Now it's one big eyesore
