GREAT news for paysite owners regarding password trading channels

that explains the decrease in activity in my pw protection statistics. i thought something was broke, i'd normally snag about 15 an hour now its down to about 6-8 an hour.

the infamouse Zima bot is the craziest password trading bot ever. They give their surfers wordlists and links to password crackers and teach them how to bruteforce sites

why do they do this?

because the way zima bot works.. is that you crack your own password to site A but you want a pass to site B but you can't seem to crack it... you hit up the bot and give it a password to site A... you then get 1 credit to request a pass to any site you choose..

even sites with amazing password protection like karups have tons of their passes floating around on those channels, cause their crackers are the best around..

but now that they are down, they won't be able to get word to majority of their people on where they are relocating, (cause majority of surfers don';t know about their website, and only their irc channel)

so password trading should be down for a long time now.. till they group up on a different irc server and get the word out (which will take at least a good 4+ months)

also... the MOST commonly traded passwords are the Topbucks sites

ASP was pretty big too (alt.sex.passwords). I wonder if they are still around? They had a searchable bot database too.... lol

Dalnet made the move to ban those channels a while back...looks like Efnet is following in their shoes.

Zima is still working and this channel is still active on undernet. And xxxpassworld was no only pass trading channel, there's masterxxxpasswords, freexxxpasses, xxxpasswords and many other channels - just take a look at the channel list, there're about 20 pass trading channels! And what about big famous forums, like lawinanet.com?

these dudes will never die, they'll simply resurface somewhere else

i shut down dalnets password trading channels about a year ago, thats where xxxpassworld was. admins were nice enough to close it down on dalnet.
