Porn Star Elise Charged With Child Rape

Porn starlet Elise (aka Genevieve Elise Silva, Elise Grizzin) is being sought by police for having sex with a 15-year-old boy whom she also allegedly provided Ecstasy, pot, and speed. According to police, Silva met the boy through her younger brother, who was a high school friend of the alleged victim. Richmond Police Department investigators claim that Silva carried on an illicit relationship with the teenager between June and October of this year. She also allegedly convinced the teenager to run away from his Bay Area home and move with her to Oklahoma. A $10,000 felony arrest warrant charges Silva with unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and rape.

Adult actor Kris Roc says,'Hey, I met this girl at L.A. Erotica 2005. Very nice; she told me that she lived in the Bay Area and that she comes down to L.A. for work every now and then. Silva is 5-foot-2, weighs 110 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Richmond police at (510) 620-6668.

Most males would agree that at 15 they would have enjoyed having a pornstar show interest in them - but this isn't what its about. Even at 15 you didn't have the ability to make a responsible choice simply because your thinking with your hormone's rather than know enough about life to realize the consequences. That is why laws were created hoping to "for the most part" stop younger kids from ruining their lives - or have it ruined for them.

I am wondering why these days more cases are heard about this - did that mean that a few years back reporting was so terrible that they overlooked cases like this? Actually it could be argued that reading itself is the downfall of modern society. It is only in the past 100 years or so that the majority of the general population have been able to read. In short it is ONLY modern society that has been able to read in any great number.

I don't personally think reading has much to do with it. The majority of society has never either been able, or willing, to read.

It turned out she had horrible vision that was making it nearly impossible for her to focus on the page. She wasn't dumb and neither are a lot of the people here (and in general with the same level of reading problems) but somewhere it was conveyed to them that it was okay to read a sentence and not actually understand what it says.

I'm not arguing with that. I fully agree that people can't, or won't take the time to read and comprehend.

It's just the downfall of modern society thing isn't logical. Modern society is the first society that has been "able" to read en-masse. So I don't think we can attribute the fall of it (if indeed it is falling) to people not reading. They never have/could read, and yet we still (somehow) became modern society.
