During and before outbreaks, simple skin contact can cause transmission. With HIV, condoms are great, very effective protection. With herpes, condoms give a very slightly degree of added protection - unless you manage to avoid touching your partner with anything but the condom-covered part of your body, of course

I'm not arguing that mate, I stated having a condom is better than nothing at all.
