      Also in that article : The United States continues to lag behind at least 40 other nations. Andorra, a tiny country in the Pyrenees mountains between France and Spain, has the longest life expectancy, at 83.5 years, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Japan, Macau, San Marino and Singapore ranked second, third, fourth and fifth.

      We are the richest nation in the world and 40th shame on us.

          lol.. it's all the preservatives in the fuckin food... I live in Canada, ours is 80.2 years, and that still seems kinda short to me, my grandma is 88.. 78 is nothing to be proud of for a country like the USA IMO
