    cookie question - something i saw in my stats...

    A site was listed as sending me traffic, and I could not see any link to my site there....but in "view source" of their index page there was this:

    What's that do? What's the point, etc...

      were you at missnudeinternet.net before you went to that site?
      maybe its a referrer code for traffic trading..
      i use Vacares...so should you

                      No, I run missnudeinternet.net and there's a website showing up in my stats...and IT's index page has that script in it...but I don't have any traffic trade with it, never heard of it, and nothing about my site appears there, other than that script...

                              that's pretty funky. i've had sites send me traffic that I didn't realize were sending, but i called it a gift. Those kind of scripts/cookies are usually set up for tracking ads. But I bet you already realized that.

                              The big question should be, do you want to contact the owner of the site and let them know and risk being pulled, or just accept the traffic and hope it sends a conversion?

                                      But there's no actual traffic coming from them...it's almost as though it "looks like" they are sending me traffic - but I can't see the point of it - since they'd have nothing to gain, that I can see...

                                      When you go to their site - my site doesn't "open up in a popunder" or anything that actually seems to benefit me at all...

                                                                          there doesnt have to be a hard link on the site to send you traffic, they may be skimming hits off the galleries for trades....
