Don't EVEN get me started on the health insurance industry.
Considering how you get fucked six ways coming you wonder why people get into the porn business to make as much money as possible as fast as possible. Just ONE accident or illness and you could end up in the poor house.
Now you know why anyone with any sense is making it to Thailand for medical treatment. 1/10th the costs and little or no hazard from infections acquired in the hospital which is killing 100s of thousands of Americans a year.

Get you a high deductible HSA health plan. BCBS has them.
Deductible = 2K , Premium should be 150 bucks a month, give or take.
Put another 150 bucks a month in a HSA savings account and take that off your taxes.
Total cost is about 300 bucks a month, if you dont use your health insurance, you keep 150 bucks a month in your savings account and dont have to pay into the savings acount the next year. Then you are 100% covered for 150 bucks a month.
Doctors get 10k deductable insurance and max out the HSA savings account as a tax deffered retirement investment vehicle.
Keep in mind, your agent gets comission on the premium only, not the savings account, so he wont show you this low cost option unless you ask.Comment
