    BAGHDAD, Iraq Dec 30, 2005 ? A 16-year-old from Florida who traveled to Iraq on his own without telling his parents was put on a flight home Friday, the U.S. Embassy said, while warning Americans of the dangers of undertaking similar journeys.

                                  What I am wondering is when a minor flys they must have a notorized signature of parent or guardian before flying solo...so how did he get that? I am sure he can forge that but there is more here i feel.

                                          His flaw was lack of language skills. If he had that and ended up being a kid that got himself into Irag and talked to locals and got the 'real' story he would have just made his name in the industry. As it is, if his writing is any good, this is one heck of an application essay topic for journalism school.


                                          Again, he was a bit stupid but I admire someone who when given an assignment about Iraq (or anywhere) thinks 'let me go find out for myself'.
