Even last minute... Rob from AcidFlyers was able to deliver, I got him to do cards for me before Vegas a few years ago and he was going to deliver them to the hotel in vegas if I was already there. Turns out that Rob got it done fast enough that he could deliver to my place in Florida and we didn't need to go that route.Originally posted by eroswebmaster

Just wanted to clarify our situation....we ordered on the 16th and their site says they ship within 48 hours. They, as of today, have not even submitted it for printing. I don't think this is a reflection of the holidays, only that they have people out sick, on vacation and just can't deliver. I don't think they are a bad company, just need some disclosures about timing.Comment

Truer words have never been spoken. It really is amazing that people wait until the week of the show and then freak out about business cards or flyers. Those are probably two of the most important things at a show since you're going there to market your company or yourself. I still can't understand why it's the last thing everyone thinks of. Hey Avalance, you should have contacted me. I babysit almost every job if I know it is for a GFYer. For instance, Mike Vega and Pete ordered business cards almost a month ago and I knew that they needed them for the show so I burnt $80 to send them UPS Nextday. Same thing with Joe Spikes and Mike Hawk...I bit the bullet and spent the money to overnight them so they would have them in time for the show.Originally posted by avalanche

Once I know that it's a job that needs to be done by a certain time I baby sit it until it's shipped. I have spent more money in upgrading shipping than I made on the actual job.
GFY is probably 3 - 5% of my total business so it's hard for me to watch for your jobs unless you contact me and let me know.Comment

Rob, I heard you didn't have much to do with them anymore so didn't want to bother you. If you can do anything I talked to Tristan a few hours ago and canceled because he said he couldn't get them out til Tuesday which wouldn't work if shipped UPS.....they say they don't have a FedEx account # and I'd offer mine, but paying another $50 for their mistake wasn't too appealing.Comment

I'm not at the office right now but I will call over there and find out what's going on. The first time I heard about this was when you ICQ'd me earlier and by then it was too late because UPS had already picked up the package. Once a package is in route they will not upgrade the shipping. I had to leave for a meeting so I didn't get a chance to look more into it.Originally posted by avalanche
