Build a company for operating an adult website?

Hello

I started a small adult website at the beginning of December. It's not my job; it's just a little hobby to hopefully earn some additional .

Today i tried to sign up for a CCBILL account for selling memberships by credit card. But it's necessary to have a company for signing up at CCBILL.

Now my question: Do you think it's worth the time to build a company if it's just a hobby?
Are there good alternatives to CCBILL which accept credit cards and have solutions for instant sign ups without having a company? (I learned that PayPal doesn't accept adult material)

At the moment i have no idea how to go on...

Otherwise, Verotel , VirtualCard, etc ...

I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !

But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

CCBILL requires that you own a company. But i can write them an email to ask if there is a solution...

I'll have a look to the other companies, thanks for the hints!

I emailed to CCbill and they said, that it's ok even without having a company
Verotel looked nice also, but i give first a try with CCbill.

DO BOTH HAVE TWO BILLERS ,.
you will learn very fast that they are both good , the great part with vertel you are set up in minutes and do not have to send all them fucking papers back there by fax and all that shit other then that they are great ,

well, being that you're an up and commer I don't see why you'd try CCBIll over verotel, ccbill requires a $750 fee for you to accept visa, verotel doesn't require this...unless I'm missing something...

The billing through CCbill is working now and there was no fee for accepting VISA. There weren't any fees at all to set up the CCbill account.

Verotel (specially the TicketsClub) looks very interesting, but they don't like domain names which includes *teen* or *young* in it for the TicketsClub. Because of this i can't sign up for http://www.teensinspace.com

Listen, don't take this bad, but you have a few problems on the horizon:

1. Stay away from the word " teen(s)" or " young" or " childish" etc.... Maybe today you can be accepted by Visa / CCbill, but the day the heat is turned on, your site is gone....
If you use those terms in the tour / site , you can atleast remove them.

2. Why would a surfer pay 20.00 to see 1300 pics ???? of nothing special, in an amateurish presentation ....

My members section is mainly movies ( 68 gigs) but as a " bonus" I gave a few pics :

- 78 series for about 15 000 pics .... that is a BONUS, not the main selling point.

Anyway, good luck.

Yes you're absolutely right. My idea was to not spend to much money for the beginning. But then the $20 for a month are too high for so few content.
And the design (free tour) is really almost rubbish. But i'm working on these issues.

I started in '97 ... then closed the members section ( I also sell goods ) after 6 months because of software pronblems( my partners at the time only wanted Macs - servers & desktop).

I re-opened on new equipment around 1999. I had trials at 2.95 , monthly at 9.99 amd 3 months at 19.99. The site was about 5 gigs at the time.

As time passed by and site grew ( now 65 to 70 gigs) with DVD quality stuff, I changed to 8.95 / 3 day trial, 19.99/month and 39.99/3 months. I am adding now a 6 months at 99.99 that includes 5 free original DVD shipped to them ( like the ones in stores ).

You need more content. If you are on a budget, add webcams upsell plugins.

A lot of people can sell you pics for real cheap... I will shortly be putting on sale 10 to 20 000 pics that were only used on my paysite.

Probably like 25.00 per 1000 ....

That's a very interesting story!
I spent too much money in the fast server / internet connection and too less in the content, that's the problem with the technical guys like me...
Just reduced the price to 9.95 and purchased more nice content (> 4000 pics). Then only a nice design for the free tour is missing and the first customers can come.
