In house ? I doubt it ... but it should be standard in a car soonOriginally posted by rayadp05I rebooted, deleted temp files, history, cookies and everything...still cannot view the news clip. All I see is that fucking gay ass music video from "Rick Roll". Anyone else have a different link to the news clip? -

I was listening to the radio in the car today for the first time in a while.
They had a little commercial about it being free like radio should be.
Then they proceed to play 10 minutes of commercials 2 songs and another bunch of commercials.
I'd much rather pay than listen to that crap.
They used to say that people wouldn't pay for TV either.Comment

well i am in australia , we don't have such a thing , i mean we can get radio off the satelites but you need a satelite dish pointed at the bird
with my other job being in a radio station , we have quite battle competing with the likes of mp3's where ppl can listen to what they want when they want and with car now coming out with mp3 players installed , i don't think sat radio will take offComment

I don't like the idea of paying for radio...So I have to pay to hear a song on the radio and then have to pay to buy the rest of the cd too? I like the idea that free radio gives me a free preview of the album and then I can go buy it.
If you want me to pay for radio then lower cd prices...Comment

People could always listen to what they want (8 track, tape, cd) but free radio tells them what to listen to and what to go buy - it would be retarted to pay for radio to tell you that.Originally posted by biftekwell i am in australia , we don't have such a thing , i mean we can get radio off the satelites but you need a satelite dish pointed at the bird

If it's crystal clear and it's commercial-free, I'd pay. I wish there's NICHE content though like "Audio Books Channel" or "Motivational Audio Channel" or "The Self-Improvement Channel" Not to mention live digital feeds of foreign language radio stations. I have a feeling there will be HUGE $$$ in these custom channels once satellite radio has become (get ready for cryptic reference) de rigeur ;)Comment
