    So...should I throw a party in Vegas next week?

    I have been asked alot this week if I am going to throw a party in Vegas for Internext......my staff always bitches about SweetT's Wild Hair to throw a party at the last minute...but somehow we are able to put together one of the "must attend" parties of the week.

    I want to be sure that I can make it to the Players Ball and a few other of the "must attend" parties so I dont want to do anything at the same time of any of my friends functions...but what do you think about an after hours party one night? Have I waited too late to pull it off? What night would be the best night to have it? Would you rather me fill the room with local party girls or strippers (you know I can't have a sausage fest)

    Thoughts?

                              Your parties are legendary Tony, I'd blow off all other parties to go to yours, lol. As for local party girls or strippers, I personally prefer girls to talk to rather than ones going after my wallet. But hey, I'm not picky, so long as there's girls I'm a happy man.                                       As for invitations, everyone is invited but for the last several years my parties have been at small venues so we have to shut down the door at some point. The last minute party last January was at Teatro and it only holds 150 people but it was some of the biggest people in the biz and everyone that could get in had a blast.

                                      Of course, I like the smaller venue because my parties are always open bar and that can get really expensive. I am not there to get every Tom Dick and Harry drunk...just my friends, clients and prospective clients. My last *big* open-bar party was in January 2000 at C2K and my final cost was $130k and I got less ROI than the smaller ones.

                                          about 3-4 months ago when i was deciding to goto vegas or not several people told me I HAD to goto vegas to throw the TGP VIP party. I didn't like being told I have to do things, just my nature - so i canceled my vegas trip and the TGP VIP party this year in vegas. Decided to goto the dominican republic instead.

                                          i will be throwing the tgp vip party in phoenix this year.

                                                                                          Good point, JFK....maybe I will look into this some more before I just throw in the towel. I need to make a couple of calls tomorrow....I have an idea for a venue a little bit bigger than last years, but WAY cooler. Not sure of what their availability would be this close and with it being CES....but you never know.

                                                                                          I am still interested in good ideas for dates, though. Is GFY not throwing the welcome party the night before it starts like they normally do? Most of the time my last minute parties are later in the show but I am open to anything at this point.

As for dates/times, well, the Players Ball is already pretty late into the night, so I guess that leaves the 4th, and 5th, so you could always do it after one of the other parties, like after the Jungle Bash for example. Just throwing in some ideas...

                                                                                                                  You definately know the places to go and how to put on a party. Afterhours would be cool. And probably much easier to snag a venue considering the competition.

                                                                                                                  CE/Pussy cash announced the warmup party - wednesday.

                                                                                                                  JungleBash starts at 10pm thursday.

                                                                                                                  Playersball (11pm to 4am) friday as well as
                                                                                                                  Hustler's party (10pm to 1230am) at pure.

                                                                                                                  We're throwing the amateur bash again (saturday the 7th 6pm to 2am).
