how to make a LOT of money - SERIOUS thread

it's 2007 so there is some content stealing involved (not to mention that I stole the idea from a site that I can't remember)

register a domain and then code a script that does the following:

-get a list of all the domains that have recently expired
-check their pr, keep the ones that have pr1 or more, the rest discard
-go to webarchive.org and retrieve the content that was on the sites
-a month later* create subdomains on your site with the content that you have retrieved from the expired domains (you'll end up with a site similar to say blogger.com), add a banner or two on top and on the side - soon enough your site has gazillion subdomains with unique content and gets shitload of Google traffic
-spend the money on hookers

* Google might keep the content of the expired domains in its cache therefore the one month delay (no idea, just a guess)

all the best

If the object is to make money, and that gets you sued and bankrupted, it is a lousy idea.

hell, no, at the tender age of 38 I have nothing better to do than to install trojans from my sig on a webmaster message board (which gets clicked 3 times a week) where it'll take about 5 seconds from someone to catch it

It sure seem to trouble you a lot that some of your other sites are infected as well, but its narrowed down to your sites hosted on dreamhost. Look like they haven't cleaned out their server after the initial breakdown more then 3 months ago. What a shitty hosting company.

But thanks your for not giving a shit and lying when asked.

I removed it the moment I realized you're not fucking around (fixing the other sites as well) and then I was playing with you, what do you want me to do, give you a medal?

there was a security hole in the previous linkex release, this where I got teh trojan I guess

oh, and if you want a reward for pointing it out to me I can give you the TGP script I'm using on these sites 100% free and no, there's no trojan or a virus in the code, let me know if you're interested and then kindly get off my nuts, you're spoiling my fun

A medal? no. But if you had said something like "thanks for letting me know, I have removed it now" you would have saved both of us some time and we would not have had this pointless debate
