Ahh, what you're missing is that the way in which the numbers are drawn is not a truly random enviroment. The paint on the balls, slight varations in the balls from rubbing together in the tube, and etc. This is why certain numbers statistically come up more than others, for each given drawing machine that drops the balls.

I actually knew an old guy from Hong Kong who was a retired Engineer and straight up math brain that was working on a computer program in his spare time. Basically, he would input the results for each draw and the program would calculate tons of different odds. How many times a number has been coming up in 1 draw, in 2 draws, in 3 draws etc. It's pretty complex to explain, but given enough eventual input, in theory it should be able to better predict results than simply guessing.
