Facebook is pretty scary, i got a profile and I have out my basics down, all i use it for is catching up on friends and stuff, but some of my friends have nearly everything on there, mobile phone numbers, address, emails, dates on where they will be and places they are that night. its pretty crazyComment

There will always be ties to the government and to secret organizations with any successful site that gathers information.
The thing to remember with this is.... we are giving it willingly. We answer the questions, we take the polls.
Hell, most of the polls and quizzes and other information gathering is done by us! We make them in the facebook system.

Facebook tells you flat out they collect your info.. Just check the security settings in your account status and you can make yourself invisible to people you haven't added as friends (as well as search engines).Comment

I'm surprised at the number of people on here who fail to realize the networking potential of Facebook.
No one says you have to put down all your real personal info. And even if you choose to do so - you've still got the options to hide almost all of it from others.
I've been on Facebook only a short while and already have made a lot of great modeling contacts (and a few other industry leads).
(shrug)
One guy I talked with recently was putting down Facebook for lack of privacy, and yet all his producer info was readily available on his 2257 page, lol.Comment
