I hear that you are supposed to start getting it annually at like 35 or 40. I think it was something like 35 if it runs in the family, and around 40ish otherwise. But I could be mistaken.

It's hurts like a mofo but only for a second when the doc touches the Prostate. I've had it done twice and the first time I don't think he did it right because it was really fast and I really didn't feel anything but the second time holy shit !

after you turn 40, if you go for yearly physicals they just do it at the end, it sucks but it only takes 5 seconds (unless the doc really is into it - which i guess would mean it's time to find a new doc lol)

You can get it done by blood test, I have the test once a year. Better to catch it early if there is something wrong with you

In all seriousness when your doc suggests it do the PSA (only partially accurate) , the digital exam and what ever. Prostate cancer is the most easily contained and cureable cancer if caught early. I am a survivor and would not be here to pester you if not for a good doctor who caught it early. It was very premature by age.Comment
