Lachlan... interesting name. That's a name that isn't overused, that's for sure. Happy birthday to the little guy.
On a side note, about that smirk and calling people names... I knew a kid in grade school like that back in the early 70's. He used to pull fast ones on people and teachers or talk back to them etc, and he always had that smirk going... until one day our gym teacher walked over and smacked it right off his face. Hard.
I know in today's world that teacher would have been fired and sued, but it might be something you want to work on with him. It could land him in hot water one day.
