I have to agree with Sharky on this. He is actually an old school vet and the people that do know him, know him as Sharky.
I had someone use Meloman once and luckily I was able to convince him to change names. How many Meloman's do u know in adult?
This is a small industry...over time we all know each other.
Sharky does go to conventions and is well known.
While I agree it's not a completely uncommon name...he has been well know as Sharky for 11 years! That has to count for something!
If the other Sharky has been using that name for a while unknowingly then I might let it go...but if it's brand new I'd politely do what I can to make him change names.

Sharky, you were trying to "TELL" me to sell SR to you. I said I wasn't interested, you continued to get more annoyed. Then I asked what you were willing to offer me, you gave me lowest possible offer you could. Which was really quite funny.
As for "making my life hell" as you so put it -- from now on, bring it on. You BIG guys think you own this industry, just because you got some money behind you, doesn't mean your going to get everything you want.
If you had offered me something decent then I might have thought about selling you the domain, but that never happened.

I guarantee that joe surfer on sharkysreviews.com doesn't know or give a flying fuck who 'sharky' actually is, regardless if the webmaster / GFY community knows.
So, how is the site owner profiting from the alleged illicit use of the name 'sharky'? What is the 'sharky' brand? How does alleged infringement on the name 'sharky' provide any benefit to the site owner? Is there proof of malicious intent in the site owner registering the name 'sharkysreviews' and developing it?
I agree that it would have been a cute PR move for the site owner to sell the domain to sharky, but there is certainly no obligation legally or otherwise. If anything, this thread has given the site more exposure than it would have ever received under normal circumstances, lol.I died.Comment

Bummer! Unfortunately this kind of shit happens all the time in both mainstream and adult. Do u have the name trademarked? If not you should consider it and then this person who is using it would have to give up the name or face the consequences. Or simply contact this person and see what agreement you can come to.
