I think it is the ultimate immaturity to carry a grudge against your off spring to your grave and to still try to prove you were right by cutting them out of the will.
The roughness between her and the kids was probably because these kids were the only ones to ever confront her on her absolute bitchness.
And in the end she proved the kids were correct.

Speaking of not leaving the kids anything: I have a friend that is worth multiple millions. He was married and had three children by his wife. His wife developed a brain tumor and died. His wife had a sizable life insurance policy with him being the sole benefactor. Two of his children decided that they should recieve part of the policy and told him so. He said no to that. The two children sued him and to his surprise (and mine) the court agreed with the two children and awarded them a hundred thousand each. He then informed the two children that they were not very bright as he was removing them from his will (which he did) and leaving all of his wealth to the child that did not sue him. They each would have recieved more than a million each upon his death.
The sad part is that when he dies the two will probably sue their sibling and who knows what a court might do.Comment

That is exactly what will happen.
Probate law sucks. When I used to do paralegal work I had probate attorneys that would use me to write up things like discovery requests because they knew I could do it as well as them and it just wasn't worth putting in their own time as they would probably not see a dime for years.
