Vista seriously isn't worth it, and my experience with mac laptops is absolutely great (I still have one that survived three non-mac laptops).

I'm worried about graphical performance, though.
Everything I've read has said that most PC games on macs are a lot slower - some to the point that it's not even worth bothering.... especially anything new.
Of course, the old-school stuff could keep me occupied for the brief periods I find time to game... but, a gamer at heart, I'd like the option to have access to anything new as well.
If they had a Macbook that could run Civ 4 without graphical lag for under $1,500 - I'd probably buy my first Apple product since my old ][e.
