Kurtis has had to take some time off work this week and asked me to post an update for him.
Kurtis' God-Son died today. He was only 5 years old.
His father was at work when he received the call from the hospital telling him that his son was no longer moving his eyes. He rushed to the hospital to be with him in his last moments - he got to spend 5 precious minutes with his boy before he died.
As I shared this story with my wife we both shared a few tears as we are parents too.
Kurtis' God-Son fought Neuroblastoma for 3 years, but ultimately succumbed to the illness. Kurtis began a few threads to raise awareness and money for this cause. His modest goal of $1000 is close - only a few more to go. If you can find it in your heart and wallet, please consider a donation.
