How many of you really don't care about x-mas this year

to be honest I couldn't care less about x-mas this year.

my brother's not comming home for x-mas.
single - no kids
basset hound is happy with or without any party

bought some presents - hoo humm - will probally get some.

but just not feeling it this year.

maybe it's cause i'm truly single and my divorse is finalized. duno maybe i'm a grinch. Maybe cause people stole most of my x-mas decorations in the yard...

just not in the holiday spirit

I'm missing snow down here. Also went to get a tree tonight, but they only had one style that looked pretty sad

However, I saw an awesome idea to replace the tree I think I'll buy tomorrow.

It's exactly like an artificial tree but in the shape of a bear, with all the lights already done in it. Very very cool and unique. It's 3 metres tall though, so won't fit on my bottom floor - that woul be the only thing stopping me form getting t cuz my living room is downstairs.

I try to get into each holiday, knowing that it's all about my own outlook anyway. If I do the traditions, I almost always enjoy it. I love the cartoons; Frosty the Snowman being one of the favorites. I decorate a little, sip egg nog, watch the specials, listen to different christmas music, etc.. I try to slip a little yule / solstice in there too.. with it all coming down to what I did as a kid though mostly. Presents unnecessary.

Won't be much Christmas around here. Nobody is back in their houses yet, my sister and brother won't be at mom's, mom doesn't have her kitchen back yet and everyone has spent the past 4 months constantly spending money to start over. I'll probably kick back and watch TV...

I'm not so much into the Christmas thing, since I am neither Christian or into lots of over-commercialized hype.

Nonetheless, I enjoy the end of December as a time to recharge my batteries while my customers are in the holiday mode, and to watch shitloads of football.

I also do not have children, but I love to spoil the shit out of my family's and friend's kids simply because I can, and I love the expressions on their faces.

As with Thanksgiving, I spend part of the day serving food at a homeless shelter - it helps keep me grounded.

I don't give a damn about xmas to be honest. However, I'd like to volunteer over the holidays to help ppl less fortunate. I've been lucky and have been able to go to university, while there's lots others who have so little out there.

Ive gone nearly 4 years now since my divorce was final and Lil B and GRob (my two boys, 24 and 22 yrs respectively) are both leading adult lives and we dont see each other nearly as much. That has been the toughest thing about the divorce, being away from my two boys. We have made plans to get together this year and enjoy some quality time. Im sure a round of discgolf will be played.

Spend some quality time with your friends and that loveable bassett. Hmm enjoy the snow... you know there aint gonna be no snow where you will be after the New Year !! How are the snowmobile trails??? Just watch the idiots after Xmas on their new presents blazin down the trails... Been there.. done that on the Quads!!

Ive been donating a lil time this year and it has filled me with Xmas Joy.
I rallyed a local group of guys at our local tavern and we provided small trees to residents in the new retirement home down the street from where I reside. We all bought a couple small trees (4-5ft) and headed down there in our pickups. When the guy at the tree lot heard what we were doing.. he got all choked up.. jumped in one of his U-Haul trucks and brought down a huge tree for the lobby and a small tree for every resident that wanted. Meanwhile the wives/girlfriends boogied to Big Lots and bought every decoration that was available and brought back to the home... We decked the halls and decorated the trees and sang carols and it might sound corny as hell.. but I am glowing today !!!

To be honest, I would be happy curled up in a fetal position all day long on Christmas. However, my friends and family are worried about me so we're going to have Christmas, but it's going to be in a different place this year and tradition is being thrown out the window.

i'm the opposite of the Grinch or Scrooge - even when my life sucks I still love the Christmas season - i buy into it all even though i know it's mostly marketing hype from business and Hollywood - most people do act nicer and are more cheerful during the holidays. i do get depressed when I think of the family members who aren't around anymore but i realize that's the cycle of life.

I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!
