Absolutely ridiculous and anyone who would spend $1.7 Mil for a car needs to see a doctor and get the screws in their head adjusted.
Don't you think a car like that would go up in value in like 50 years or so? I am sure they are not going to make too many of them and anyone who would buy it would probably hire someone just to take care of the car haha
I think I would feel guilty driving around in something that for the same price could have purchased 34 homes for needy families.
It really doesn't even look like its worth $1.7M and I can't fathom how ANY VEHICLE could be worth that much. It's nice and all but regardless of how much money I have, I would never purchase a $1.7M car. That's just retarded.

If you were Bill Gates and gave $100 mil to help and could still afford it why not??? I just don't get how people can think that someone who works hard or thinks of something great that helps all people around who work hard and earn a lot of money should give it all up and not spend it. I think Andy Ronney said it best:
I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better, and put your name on the building.
I know that is not what you are saying but I am making a point off of what you said about people spending money they earn on toys in life. That is all.......Merry Christmas!

Well said.
Not that I'll ever know from experience...but I'm sure its possible to own a $1.7 million set of wheels AND be a generous philanthropist. Screw what people may erroneously assume as you drive by.
I'd sooner drive a good reliable pickup truck anyways
most articles are quoting 1 million euros for the price - or around $1.2 million...but regardless its an amazing and expensive car. i read that Jay Leno ordered one...
You can probably get the Veyron serial #12 car pretty cheap next month!
The Veyron´s first crash
The No.12 Veyron is assembled in Molsheim, ready for the required crash-test which will take place in Berlin. No No.13 car will be made (they will pass on directly to No. 14), and the No. 21 will be skipped also.

Ok, ok, you got me. If I gave that much and was still able to afford toys like that then yes, I would get it.
I just cant fathom spending that much money on something that doesn't make you money in exchange.
