The democratic candidate does get 90% of the black vote, but how many blacks vote? Very few, they don't have anyone to vote for, they haven't since Kennedy.
Kids ages 18-25 vote overwhelmingly democrat, but how many of them vote?
Very few, they haven't had a candidate to be excited about since Kennedy.
If the republicans nominate someone like Giuliani, most of the evangelicals will stay home. At the same time if Obama is the nominee black turnout in the south will be enormous, there will be states in play that would never otherwise be.
There are a dozen other reasons I think he will win not only the nomination but the presidency, but I don't want to turn this post into a book.
