                                            Even a loss such as that teaches you so much about life...and how to appreciate every day you are alive, and all those around you whom you love and hold precious.

                                            I feel for your loss and wish you strength as you mourn and then move on with your life.

                                                            I was close to it twice last year. Both my mom and dad suffered heart attacks last year. My moms was harder. Both had to have some surgery to unblock minor arteries. But both doing good now. Moved back in with them cause they can't do as much around the house as they used to. And besides, did not want to be too far away in case happens again

                                                                                                                        I feel for you buddy, I lost my step dad to cancer 2 1/2 years ago, then my mom got cancer, TWICE, but she beat it both times, she's a tough woman and I hope she lives to see her great grand children, and I hope that doesn't happen anytime soon!

                                                                                                                            My mother died after a stroke and several months of full time care. The day I was looking to buy a house to move her and myself into where I could care for her. I'd been lucky to pick the time, and had visited with her the night before for hours and hours. Her passing still hurts me, but if I hadnt have had that time, it would be so much worse. She was my best friend. Not in the "he's nice to say that" way either, I mean in the real way.
