The simple reason people don't talk to each other anymore is fear. That and common courtesy - some people just plain don't want to talk to strangers, and why should they have to? I'm sure you and her both find it insolent and unpolite to not talk to strangers, but you two might want to consider their feelings (I know, I know: whippersnappers aren't allowed to have these until they're around fifty or so...). How would you like it if you were on a date and some stranger just hobbled on up and asked you why the economy was so shit? Or better yet, there you are pumping away and there's a knock at the door... It's a stranger wanting to discuss family values with you and the lady you've brought back with you.

To be honest, I'm not sure why I'm posting this, as you probably don't give two shits because I'm a young kid who hasn't see the delights of the world.

Anyway, I'm off to go and give my car keys to a stranger and see what happens...
