I'm just saying Blu-Ray is more expensive to reproduce. Because Sony seems to have a need to do things their own way. A current DVD production house can put out HD-DVD with only minor modifications as opposed to Blu-Ray.

Well the switch from VHS to DVD was expensive I'm sure but it was done. Cost eventually come down. Blu-ray holds 67% more data. As I said blu-ray is poised to win so why not support the winning format and not drag on a format war? Now if an exclusive blu-ray studio like Fox starts making HD-DVD or WB goes exclusive to HD-DVD then HD-DVD has a chance. Of course SOny could just bribe WB like Toshiba did Parmount. Betwen the PS3, more studio support, Target seling blu-ray players only and Blockbuster only carrying blu-ray movies, it's hard to see how HD-DVD can win. And personally I'd like to see this format war over one way or another.
